documentation

We are fully committed to precision plastics as we look to the future, helping our customers make the right design and material choices.

Documentation and Certifications

We contribute to a sustainable future and have a positive impact on our surroundings. Among other things, through Operation Clean Sweep, where we prevent plastic shavings from entering the environment, and by sourcing all our electricity from wind turbines. In fact, we had already been taking action long before the UN Sustainable Development Goals came into play. That is why we are a trustworthy partner with proud and responsible employees who make a lasting impact.

food contact materials

At OTV, we maintain a complete overview of our food contact materials, and we always comply with the applicable legislation for both internal control and documentation.

Operation Clean Sweep

Operation Clean Sweep is an international initiative designed to prevent plastic from ending up in the world’s oceans. We have therefore, among other things, committed to ensuring that we collect plastic shavings in production and then dispose of them in an environmentally responsible manner. In 2019, OTV prepared and implemented an action plan to ensure that plastic shavings are not released into the environment. Shavings collectors have been installed in drains, the shavings extraction system has been upgraded, and fixed procedures have been incorporated into workflows.

ISO 9001:2015

The use of ISO 9001:2015 helps ensure that customers receive consistent, high-quality products and services, which in turn provides many business benefits.

Danish Working Environment Authority

OTV has a green smiley on the Danish Working Environment Authority’s website. This means that we have no outstanding issues with the Danish Working Environment Authority. The green smiley is therefore also a signal to the outside world that we have our working environment in order.

RoHS2

The RoHS2 Directive imposes restrictions on 6 hazardous substances/materials used in electronic/electrical equipment. We have obtained declarations from our suppliers (all of whom are based in the EU) confirming that their plastic material complies with the RoHS2 Directive.

Credit rating

We operate a financially sound business, supported by our AAA credit rating, which is the highest rating. This demonstrates that at OTV we have an exceptionally strong ability to meet current payment obligations.

Business award

In 2018, we at OTV were honoured with UdviklingVejen’s Business Award. Each year, UdviklingVejen presents the Business Award to a local company in Vejen Municipality that has made a difference across various growth parameters.

REACH Directive

REACH is an EU directive (1907/2006) on chemicals and their safe use. The purpose of REACH is to improve the protection of people and the environment, ensure the free movement of substances on the European market, and increase competitiveness and innovation in the chemical industry.

At OTV, we import engineering plastics purchased within the EU. They are supplied either as sheets, rods, or hollow rods. At OTV, further processing is carried out exclusively in the form of milling, turning, bending, and welding. Therefore, OTV is not directly covered by REACH registration. However, as an importer, we have urged all our suppliers to ensure that they, as well as their suppliers, meet the requirements of the REACH Directive. Downstream users (such as OTV) are obliged to assess chemical safety in relation to the substances—primarily on the basis of information from their supplier.

Our suppliers have confirmed in writing that they or their suppliers meet the requirements of REACH and follow the REACH registration timeline. Systematic follow-up with suppliers ensures that our plastics do not contain substances from the SVHC list without OTV being informed. The registration obligation for our suppliers took effect on 1 June 2008, with a transitional arrangement that ran until 1 June 2018 for certain substances that were pre-registered.

A declaration from OTV regarding plastic materials’ compliance with REACH can be provided upon request.
